Tait has his own shelf in the living room now...I got tired of him pulling off all of our books on the bottom shelf so I decided to put some of his books there (only the hardback ones since the others would be ripped up!) He already messed it up as you can see in the picture :)

so we are starting to work on more table foods. I cooked some peas and carrots (perfect because they were already cut into little tiny cubes, perfect for him to pick up!)
Well..when he doesn't like something he pushes the food out with his tongue...see the pea on his shirt?

Today I ended up having the day off from babysitting and it happened to be Justin's day off (so nice!) so we went out, had some lunch, and went to a couple stores. We stopped in at Tuesday Morning and Stein Mart..both stores we hadn't been in before..I wasn't too impressed with Tuesday morning (the store just looked junky) but I did buy these 3 scrapbooking items..the best deal were the pack of rubons..reg. 9.99 I payed 1.99! I payed 4 for these 3 items! YEAH!

This picture has a long story..sorry!
Tonight Justin and I attended his company Manager appreciation banquet. It was at the Marriot downtown Indy. Lots of fun. They did a pretty good at showing their managers a good time. ( Last year wasn't as fun because the game they played the managers had to answer questions pertaining to work...not much fun :) the game was "are you smarter than your area director"
Anyway..they have a catered dinner, awards ceremony, (plaques w/ cash awards...good cash rewards too..manager of the year got $1500! then they played a game with which you could win prizes and or money...the theme this year was Let's make a Deal! Everyone was given a ticket with a number on it..if your number was called you go up on the stage and get to pick a box or spin the money wheel...Guess who's number was the very first one picked....yeah..me.
I picked a box..of course if you have seen Let's Make a Deal on the game show network you know that your prize could be something ridiculous, like a baby elephant or something..Well I won a dirty sock..yeah me! I should have picked the wheel! Chad, one of the managers, won $300 from the wheel!
Anyway..Justin happened to be the last contestant chosen..he chose the last box and won a pair of tickets to the IU vs Purdue football game plus passes to the hospitality tent. He is going to take my brother to the game so that will be a fun day for them! (btw some of the other good prizes behind the boxes were a Wii, Ipod, Digital camera, and other football/basketball tickets )
I think the company does a good job about keeping their managers happy. I am looking forward to the Children's Christmas party since we will get to go this year! The owner of the restaurant's franchise buys each manager's child a present (of our choice within a certain price range) and they have a party..last year they rented out Great Times.

Well I am behind posting....again...this is for Monday
I have started planning Tait's first birthday party...Working on the invitations is the first job. Here is a little hint on the theme of his party :) More to come as the big day gets closer!

Tait put his shoes on each hand and crawled into the kitchen..it was So funny..by the time I grabbed the camera and came back in the kitchen he was sitting here chewing on his shoes...So I didn't get the action shot....but its still cute

Okay..I know..I am doing a horrible job at this photo of the day blog...But I am trying to hang in there!! So sorry for the 3 of you that actually look at this! lol
Saturday night we went to my cousins for the 2nd annual Chili cookoff. (My hubby walked away with the prize for hottest chili.)
Ava was sad and since Kellie said I couldn't use the same picture she did on her blog! :) I took a picture of poor Ava..she just wanted to play outside with the big kids in the 36 degree weather!! Come on mom! :)

Our church has a project they are doing for Thanksgiving. Feeding 500 families. Each person/family that wanted to help paid $15 and received this tub and a list of foods to buy for a Thanksgiving meal. The $15 buys the turkey. I am wanting to start doing more things like this to help teach Tait that we are to help others.

I finally got my bookcase for my kitchen!! YEAH!! My kitchen is finally coming together. I will take more pictures when its finished, but I am really excited to finally have my fiesta ware out and on display!

I am on a mission..a mission to save money! I have found several websites to print coupons and I am going to try really hard to save as much money as I can..
btw...Did you know that Target will accept their coupon AND a manufacturer coupon for the same item!? I didn't and I could have saved a lot had I known!!

K so I broke down and got this for Tait tonight..I was planning on buying it for either his birthday or Christmas..but the little guy is already walking along the couch and other furniture I think he could use it now...I think waiting for 3 more months would be too late! :( My baby is getting too big!!

Sat. the family business had our annual fall festival...lots of fun...this is my parents and Tait on Dads tractor..I think Tait liked it!
