On the 19th day of Christmas we rang the bell for Salvation Army at Marsh in Mooresville.
Tait brought in a lot of money...he did so good and had a blast ringing bells

On the 11th day of Christmas....we went to Justin's company childrens Christmas party.
They had a Santa that gave each child a present (that us parents picked out..Justin had to email the company our suggestion over a month ago.)
I think its really cool and I appreciate the fact that the owner takes his time/money and does something special like this for all the managers kids.
And yes..I couldn't decide which picture to do...so here are 3 :) The bottom one is Tait with the toy he got from Chili's

On the 7th day of Christmas I decorated cookies with some friends and their kids.
I forgot my camera but I took some pictures with my phone. Now I can't find the cable to my phone to hook it up to the camera. :(

I am starting another theme...if no one else wants to join that is fine.
Starting today I am doing something everyday until Dec. 25th that has to do with Christmas.
I have my list made and will take a picture of that thing that I do!
first day of Christmas Wrapping presents and putting them under the tree.

Ok..I know I am behind in this...so here is a picture from Thanksgiving and the day after.
This is Tait and his cousin Ava. He doesn't look too happy that she is touching his toy.
Friday night we went to Lucas Oil stadium to watch Monrovia play for the State title. My cousin happens to be the assistant coach so we were there to cheer him on! They didn't win, but were undefeated the whole season, so they should be very proud of themselves!

I am thankful for our family business. Our family owns an apple orchard. My Great Grandpa planted the first apple trees back in 1926. My dad is now the manager, and growing up my brother and I had to to help every summer with the gardens, and of course back then we complained...but looking back now I am happy we got to grow up on an Orchard..and lets face it..free apples and vegetables are great! :)

Today I am thankful for Aunts, cousins, and a mom to go shopping with!
Every year the girls on my dads side of the family go shopping for Christmas...today was that day. This is 2 of my Aunts, my cousin Kellie, and Rachel. (in Barnes and Noble) We had a great time today and I was pleased with what I got from my list!

I am thankful for MOPS and especially the group I am in. This is my table, and I am so thankful to have these ladies in my life. It is so great to be in MOPS and know that there are other moms going through the same things you are. What a great ministry we have at church! I was asked to be a discussion group leader this year and am looking forward to hopefully one day being on the steering team.

Today I am thankful for my husband. (he doesn't smile in pictures :( ) We just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary last week (while I was still in the hospital.) But today we were able to find a babysitter and go on a much needed date and celebrate our anniversary.
Justin is my best friend, gave me my beautiful baby boy, and I couldn't imagine life without him!

Today I am thankful for my baby boy.
I can't tell you how much I missed this little man while I was in the hospital.
Most hospitals right now don't allow children under 15 to visit because of the flu.
So..I had to go 10 days without seeing my little man...Hardest 10 days of my life!
Not one day went by that I didn't cry because I missed him so much!

So we are on a thankful theme for each day in November.
Today I am thankful for my health. Yes I am on 2 antibiotics for a week, but I am SO thankful that I am much better. Turns out pancreatitis is very serious and can be deadly. While at the hospital I didn't think much of it...but after doing a little looking online I found out how serious it can be. I wasn't happy about having to go through surgery, but having my gallbladder removed means I won't have to go through this again! I praise God that I am healing and getting better. My staples are out and I only have a little over 1 week until I can pick my son up! God is good!

Ok..So I know I have been MIA. And if you know me you know why.
I spent Oct 24-Nov 3rd in the hospital....Not fun!
I had pancreatitis and gallstones. I ended up having my gallbladder removed, but
I developed a little pneumonia, and my gallbladder ended up being in worst shape
than the surgeon thought...SO I don't have all my pictures for while I was gone, BUT I do
have a few that I was able to take on my phone..I am just going to list them all on this post.
This was all I could eat for the first 4 days in the hospital...ice chips :(
IV #1 of 4
IV#2 of 4
Balloon from Tait...made me cry! because of the flu no one under the age of 15 was allowed in the hospital to visit..so I went 1o days without seeing my baby boy! It was a rough 10 days!
I also got to spend Justin and my 7th wedding anniversary in the hospital....these were from Justin.
Bruises from all the blood they had to draw...They took my blood at least once a day
the first REAL food I got to eat a few hours after my surgery...Orange jello never tasted so good!!

We stopped in at Tuesday Morning and Stein Mart..both stores we hadn't been in before..I wasn't too impressed with Tuesday morning (the store just looked junky) but I did buy these 3 scrapbooking items..the best deal were the pack of rubons..reg. 9.99 I payed 1.99! I payed 4 for these 3 items! YEAH!

This picture has a long story..sorry!
Tonight Justin and I attended his company Manager appreciation banquet. It was at the Marriot downtown Indy. Lots of fun. They did a pretty good at showing their managers a good time. ( Last year wasn't as fun because the game they played the managers had to answer questions pertaining to work...not much fun :) the game was "are you smarter than your area director"
Anyway..they have a catered dinner, awards ceremony, (plaques w/ cash awards...good cash rewards too..manager of the year got $1500! then they played a game with which you could win prizes and or money...the theme this year was Let's make a Deal! Everyone was given a ticket with a number on it..if your number was called you go up on the stage and get to pick a box or spin the money wheel...Guess who's number was the very first one picked....yeah..me.
I picked a box..of course if you have seen Let's Make a Deal on the game show network you know that your prize could be something ridiculous, like a baby elephant or something..Well I won a dirty sock..yeah me! I should have picked the wheel! Chad, one of the managers, won $300 from the wheel!
Anyway..Justin happened to be the last contestant chosen..he chose the last box and won a pair of tickets to the IU vs Purdue football game plus passes to the hospitality tent. He is going to take my brother to the game so that will be a fun day for them! (btw some of the other good prizes behind the boxes were a Wii, Ipod, Digital camera, and other football/basketball tickets )
I think the company does a good job about keeping their managers happy. I am looking forward to the Children's Christmas party since we will get to go this year! The owner of the restaurant's franchise buys each manager's child a present (of our choice within a certain price range) and they have a party..last year they rented out Great Times.

Saturday night we went to my cousins for the 2nd annual Chili cookoff. (My hubby walked away with the prize for hottest chili.)
Ava was sad and since Kellie said I couldn't use the same picture she did on her blog! :) I took a picture of poor Ava..she just wanted to play outside with the big kids in the 36 degree weather!! Come on mom! :)
